Les Maîtres Laitiers du Cotentin
THEBAULT INGENIERIE worked alongside the MAITRES LAITIERS DU COTENTIN on the design and construction of a milk-processing factory (UHT milk for infants, butter, cream and fresh cheese). The project needed to satisfy various functional requirements: the reception of milk, processing, manufacturing, packing, storing, dispatch as well as office space.
The challenge in the project
The Normandy milk cooperative (1200 members and 700 employees) wanted to set up a new automatic production unit to manufacture UHT milk for infants for China and fresh cheese (butter, cream) for France. For the Chinese market, the factory will pack 20 cl cartons of milk, or around 700 million litres a year.
The MAITRES LAITIERS DU COTENTIN chose THEBAULT INGENIERIE based on their previous experiences and successful joint projects. THEBAULT INGENIERIE used a joint construction concept with the MAITRES LAITIERS DU COTENTIN and its processing partners. Throughout the design stage, the fast response, flexibility and efficiency found throughout the team with total commitment from all those involved as they advanced towards a common goal defined by the MAITRES LAITIERS DU COTENTIN. When designing the Méautis / Carentan site, Thebault Ingénierie found what the Maitres Laitiers du Cotentin were looking for for the time being and what they are planning for in five to ten years.
